Singer Diego Verdaguer dies at 70
The singer Diego Verdaguer died this 27 January at the age of 70, as confirmed by his family in a statement on his Instagram account.
The cause of death has not been specified in the publication and the musicianâs relatives have asked for understanding from the press and the public in the face of the grief he is going through.

âWith absolute sadness, we are sorry to inform all his audience and friends that our dear Diego has left his beautiful body today to continue his journey and creativity in another form of eternal life.
âThe entire family is immersed in this grief, so we appreciate your understanding in these difficult times,â reads the release signed by the Verdaguer Miguel family.

Cause of death Diego Verdaguer
Although the family did not specify the cause of death, Diam Music (Di for Diego and Am for Amanda), the coupleâs record company, confirmed that the death was related to COVID-19.
It also specified that the singer died in Los Angeles, California, after being diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus since December.
âSadly, this afternoon, Thursday 27 January, Diego Verdaguer passed away in the city of Los Angeles, California, due to COVID-19. The virus was detected in December and he was hospitalisedâ, said the record label, and announced that the artistâs remains will be cremated in the United States, as well as organising a public act to pay tribute to his career afterwards.
